This is basically the same film
story(Jab Thak hai Jaan) written into a book.Set
in London, England, tells the story of Akira Rai, an
ambitious, hard-working intern at the Discovery Channel. Akira finds the diary of Samar Anand, a bomb-disposal
expert. The diary recounts Samar's time as a struggling immigrant to London,
and later details his whirlwind romance with Meera Thapar. Its indeed a
wonderful story about love."An undying love a man had for a woman,an
unflinching love a woman had for a man and an unending faith God had on their
love"
The story begins with Akira reading Samar's diary which she accidently found in
his lost jacket, which he gave her while saving her from drowning in the cold
lake of Ladakh. The diary recounts Samar's earlier years as a struggling
immigrant in London, working
as a busker who also
performs other odd jobs to support himself and his roommate Zain. One day while
cleaning snow outside a church, he sees Meera Thap for the first time and
instantly begins to like her.Later they fall in love, and while Meera goes to
convey her love to her dad,Samar meets with an accident.Meera, believing she is the cause of Samar's spate of bad luck, prays to
God to save his life and promises never to see him again. Samar recovers and
Meera admits her vow to him. Angry, he leaves her and even London. Samar
challenges God to keep him alive while he risks his life every day, because he
believes his death is the only way to make Meera lose her faith in God. He goes
to India and enlists in the army, becoming a bomb-disposal expert. The
later incidents forms the rest of the plot.
The director himself has
written the story, and he has very well managed to pack both romance and action
well(very well indeed). This was also his last film. After reading the book you
get a true feel of what Love really is,Like Akira says "Its not a story of
courage or miracles, its a simple story of true Love"..
