BRIDA-PAULO COELHO (review by Chaithanya Sivanandh)

Brida, by Paulo Coelho is the journey of a girl in search of knowledge and spirituality.Main characters in the story are Brida,Magus of the Folk(her teacher on the tradition of the Sun and Brida's soul mate),Wicca(her teacher in the tradition of the Moon),Lorens(her boyfriend).

Brida is in search of the right person to teach her about the spiritual world. So she finds the Magus, who dwells in the forest and learns how to overcome her fears and to believe in the goodness of the world.Later she meets Wicca ,who through the tradition of the Moon teaches her to dance to the music of the world. As she seeks her destiny, she struggles to find a balance between her relationships and her desire to become a witch.

the story is about love, passion, mystery and spirituality, all interlinked.when the story ends, the reader is left with a feeling of uncertainity, since the story starts with Brida who is in search of knowledge and ends with her initiation as a witch. But we cannot but say that the author has a mesmerizing way of describing events which makes the readers wonderstruck with delight. Its all about mystery and spirituality and magic and is a good serve for the ones who love to know more on these topics.
