Let's respond to the Nation by Anil Surya

Our country shares a unique culture that no other country on earth does. We respect the freedom of others. We treat our guest as gods. We pray to ensure peace around the world. We pray to ensure that everyone else it the world are fed, clothed and safe from harm.
That’s Gods greatest gift to us, the bedrock of this nation: The belief in things not seen: The belief that there are better days ahead: The belief that we are all connected as one people. If there is a child on South, who can’t read, that matters to us, even it’s not our brother. If there is a senior citizen somewhere, who can’t pay for her medicine and afford a meal once in a day that makes our life even poorer, even it’s not our grandmother. It’s that fundamental belief that I am my brother’s keeper; I am my sister’s keeper that makes this country work.
But there are those people, who are trying to divide us, we must show them that, there is not an India for the Hindus, an Indian for the Christians, and an India for the Muslims. There is only one India, all of us pledging allegiance to the Tricolor, all of us defending the Mighty India.
Even after 69 years of Independence we are not Independent. We lack in self confidence to see ourselves as an Independent, self reliant and self assured Nation. Even after 69 years of Independence our country is still the land of illiterates, beggars and sluts. Our country is still the land of those barbarians who see women only as an object for their sexual acts. They should be kicked out of our nation. We should teach them such a lesson that no one should dare to look our mothers and sisters in an unfair manner. It is time that we must stand up to the world and make the dreams of APJ come true.
We have more work to do. More work to do for the farmers, who are fighting for their land. More work to do for beggars in the street. More work to do for the young women in north, who has the grade, has the drive, has the will but doesn’t have the money to go to college.
In the end it’s all about hopes, the hope of a young Navel officer bravely patrolling our sea. The hope of our children’s that they can live in an Independent and Self reliant India. The hope of our mothers and sisters that they can walk in our streets without fear, the audacity of hope.
In the end if you feel the same energy I do. The same urgency I do. The same passion I do. The same hopefulness I do. If we do what we must do, then I have no doubt that all across the country, from Kashmir to kanyakumari, the people will rise and out of this long darkness a brighter day will come.
