There will come a time, when all of us are
dead. All of us. This is a quoting from the book An Imperial Affliction, by Peter
Van Hauston, which is mentioning throughout the novel. This book doesn’t really exist, but mere imagination by John
Green.
The story is about a
girl Hazel Grace & her boyfriend Augustus who have survived from cancer. They
have met during their gathering set for cancer survivor to bring their life.
Fate has bought them together and they start their life from that gathering
place which is called the heart of Jesus. Augustus lost one his legs as a side
effect of cancer, but he is very optimist and he always holds a cigarette between
his truth without lighting it to show his control over death by keeping
something, the cigarette, that can cause death, in his control.

The story has such an effect that will make
every reader cry. The story shares the true nature of a disease so common
nowadays and how it can destroy someone’s life and with that take away the joy
in others life. The story gives a clear picture about people suffering from
cancer and their unaccomplished dreams, life and love.
