Going by the cover picture of the book,BRIDA is the story of a beautiful Irish girl and her search for knowledge.In because of the assignment assigned by my English Lecturer I decided to read Brida written by Paulo Coelho. Brida.Brida has long been interested in various aspects of magic but she is searching for- something more else.She was in constant search for the right path.She approaches Magnus who dwells in the forest and teaches her,through the tradition of Sun about overcoming her fear and trusting in the goodness of the world.The conflict within all of us is to be with someone, whom we have known for a lesser time but who touches our heart more or to just leave everything and submit ourselves to a lone path wit no partner forms the crux of this story.The internal conflict,external temptations,fears and joy are so beautifully penned that you would easily connect with the character and that's quite a brilliant quality or a writer to have!
Emotions are like wild horse and it requires wisdom to be able to control them''.The main theme is about finding one's Soul mate in this life and feeling complete.But of course,you can't unless you can see the point of light on the left shoulder of your soulmate.Their is nothing paranormal in his book.But the book is a cocktail of too many ingredients like witchcraft,religion,spirituality,magic, search for self,soulmate etc.. Some.Some ingredients are indigestible and can make your head pin.An inspirational story,all about exploring life and learning to connect wit your truest self.....
